DRIVERS LICENCE

ID-book driver´s licence are no longer valid in SA. Drivers who have not changed their identity document-based licences to a card licence are no longer licensed to drive.This means starting from scratch - getting a learner's licence and going for a driving test. It also means they will be fined for driving without a valid driver's licence. The new card licence has to be renewed every five years. So if you are out of SA and thinking of going there on holiday get your international driveres licence and there you can hire out a car and still drive around!!
